Howdy! My name's Kris - the woman behind the nail art! 

Here's a few things about me and a little of my backstory:

I am an Army veteran, certified motorcycle mechanic, and now licensed nail tech! Crazy switch up, I know! My nail tech journey actually began on August 17th, 2024 when I married my husband, an Active Duty Airman. Just months after our wedding, we we're stationed on Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington State. Before our move, I could feel God telling me to go to beauty school. As someone whose been a grease monkey their entire life, this was WAY out of my comfort zone. But you know what they say, God is never wrong! So, I went to a beauty school for Cosmetology and realized very quickly that I hated doing hair ... but I LOVED doing nails. I found such a passion for not just nail art, but every part of the manicure process. From prep to polish - I was HOOKED. This is when Nails By Gower was born! It started just as my Instagram portfolio. Then, I switched to a Manicurist course and got my license in September of 2025! Almost immediately, Nails By Gower was in business! But... after just 2 months in business, my husband got orders to be stationed in South Carolina! Once we found out this would be a much longer duty station, we flew to Summerville and bought our first house! That brings us to present day! I am a licensed and insured, private, at-home based nail tech! I give all the thanks and glory to my Lord and Savior. I never in a million years would've pictured myself here - but I've never been happier. The biggest joy I find is in helping women feel more beautiful and confident in themselves!
